My story begins in the suburbs and transitions to farm life when I was the young mother of three. Raising my children on a farm with my husband provided many life enriching experiences. In my work life, I wore many hats, but being a nurse for over 40 years and a state legislator for 10 years were the highlights. Healthcare and the well-being of children have always been a focus in my life. Now retired, I enjoy a fulfilling life on the family farm in West Virginia with my husband. I love traveling to visit my children, volunteering with my cherished Sisters' group, and spoiling my grandchildren as a proud Nana.
